Let's get sun tanned in Bohol!


With its long coastline, Bohol harbors some of the country's best beaches. Panglao is the most popular among all of Bohol's islands. It is the home of white sand beaches like Alona and Dumaluan. During our trip last August, we were able to explore the beauty of Dumaluan Beach.

How to get there 

We availed a travel package so we went to Panglao via van as part of our tour. If you will go there via public transport you may opt to ride a van, tricycle or taxi from Tagbilaran Airport.

The Beach

During our Bohol trip, our group stayed in Dumaluan Beach Resort which is one of the resorts along the Dauis side of Panglao - http://dumaluanbeach.com/. The resort is located in the beach front giving us full access of the white sand beach.


We arrived in Panglao late afternoon just when the water was too shallow because of the low tide. We were awed by the clear and cool water and we had fun swimming until the sun set in.

This side of the beach is not too crowded compared to Alona Beach. There are less tourists and commercial establishments. If you are looking for the peaceful place to stay and unwind, this paradise is perfect for you.


I loved my mornings in Bohol.

Every morning of our stay in Dumaluan, I would wake up early to run around the municipality and along the beach. After each morning run, I would sit on the fine white sand and watch the sun comes up over the horizon. It was such a beautiful view!



Oh, how I miss mornings like this.
