How to get there

From the FX Terminal in front of Jollibee - Cubao Farmers, ride an FX going to Montalban, Rizal. If you are a large group, you can negotiate with the driver and he could drop you off directly to the tourism office in Brgy Wawa. If not, you will have to ride a tricycle from the the terminal in Rodriguez to Brgy Wawa.

The trail

Mt Hapunang Banoi has the same jump off point as that of Mt Pamitinan. So, the rates and registration process is just the same. Details are here: Travel 2015: Climb: Mt Pamitinan, Rodriguez, Rizal.

Mt Hapunang Banoi is conjoined with Mt Pamitinan. It has the same limestone formations but it is higher in altitude and the rocky trail is more challenging.

This is the rest station in the junction where the trail going to Pamitinan and Banoi meets. Right trail will lead to Pamitinan's peak and the leftward trail will lead to Hapunang Banoi.

If you are up for Mt Hapunang Banoi's challenge, be physically ready for some rock climbing or bouldering. Don't forget to put your gloves on. It will help you to grip on the rocks.

Even the summit of Mt Hapunang Banoi is composed of big rock formations. It is overlooking Mt Ayaas which is the highest mountain in Rodriguez, Rizal.

It was a really tough and fulfilling climb! Shout out to my girl friends who joined me in this adventure! :)
