Travel 2018: Arizona, USA

Ultimate bucketlist. Big check!
Goose bumps and teary eyes. It was a dream destination!

How we got there?
Arizona is one of the states of the United States of America. If you are a Philippine passport holder like me, you have to apply for a B2 visa to visit USA as a tourist.
We went to Arizona as part of our Labor Day weekend trip. From California, we hit the road Friday evening. It was a loooong drive but SO MUCH worth it!
Travel tip: There are areas along the road with no signal. Make sure to download the maps beforehand to avoid getting lost.

Where to stay?
Some travelers take days to tour around the amazing wonders of Arizona but we had limited time and we booked our hotel in Vegas so we didn't book any stay in AZ anymore. However, if you are planning to tour for days, there are lodges that are very near the Grand Canyon like the Grand Canyon Lodge and North Rim Campground.

Itinerary
Our first stop is the Lower Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona.
Dreamy and speechless are the two best words to describe how I felt seeing the Antelope Canyon. Who would have thought that there is a beauty like this in the underground?
Travel tip: You cannot go inside the lower or upper Antelope Canyon without a guide. Reserve your tour in advance as slots are limited specially during the peak season. We got our tour from Dixie Ellis' Canyon Tours. Sight seeing tours start at $38.10 per adult.

Our next stop is the Horseshoe Bend, also located in Page, Arizona. The bend is around 15-minute drive from the Antelope Canyon. There is no entrance fee or guide required.
Be ready for some walking as going to the top of the cliff overlooking Colorado River and the Horseshoe bend will require some hiking.
Travel tip: Be ready for the scorching heat. Bring a lot of water and sunscreen.

Last and definitely not the least is the Grand Canyon.
Two-hour drive from the Horseshoe Bend is the world famous Grand Canyon. This is a big bucketlist check for me as Grand Canyon has always been in my top travel destinations.
Grand Canyon National Park is a big area. Given that we only have the afternoon to stroll around, we only explored the South Rim. The entrance fee is $25 dollars per vehicle.

Thank you, Arizona. You made my heart so happy!!
