Travel 2016: Real Getaway Experience

There is no such thing as too much adventure!

If you are an adventure lover like me, you'll definitely have fun in Real, Quezon.

How to get there?

I recommend to go there by private vehicle/van if you travelling with a group.
Via public transport, ride a Raymond bus going to Infanta, Quezon from Legarda, Manila. Tell the driver to drop you off near Brgy Tingnoan, Real, Quezon.
Travel time is around 4 hours but it may take longer if you will commute.

What to do?

Camp and Surf at The Pacific Recreation Kamp (The PaRK)

There are a lot of resorts around Real and I think Pacific Recreation Kamp, more known as The PaRK, is one of the most affordable. There are no rooms available so you need to bring and pitch your own tent. For daytrips, there are nipa huts which you can rent.

Aside from camping, you can also rent a surf board or paddle board in the area. If you are a newbie, you can hire an instructor to teach you how.

Take a dip at Nonok Falls

There are several waterfalls a few minutes away from The PaRK. One of them is the Nonok Falls located at Brgy Malapad. It is around 10-minute walk from the jump off point. Nonok Falls has a strong water flow that makes it a perfect place to go swimming especially during summer.

Take another dip at Balagbag Falls

Another destination near The PaRK is Balagbag Falls. Balagbag is a majestic two-tiered waterfalls that is a famous destination for locals and non-locals . The first level is about 5 meters high with a deep water basin. The second level is a 25-meter cascade of water with a shallow water basin. Honestly, this is one of the most breathtaking waterfalls I have ever been to.

Water tubing along the Tingnaoan River

Real's white water tubing is not as intense as my experience in Cagayan De Oro and Sarangani but it is still worth the try. From The PaRK, you can hire a tricycle to take you to the jump-off point. You have to pay and sign a waiver in the tourism office first. From there, you'll have to trek 20-30 minutes down the river.

You will have to ride on a make shift raft (made of salbabidas) that can fit 4-5 persons. Then, two guides will sit at the front and back of the raft. They will be the one who will guide your group and paddle along the river. During rainy days, the white water tubing can be very thrilling because of stronger water current. During sunny days, the ride is more relaxing as you will enjoy the lush and green surroundings along the way.

If you are looking for an overnight getaway with jampacked activities, Real, Quezon is the place to be!
Shout out to my HPExplore Team for this super fun weekend! :)
