Time to explore this mystical island!
Siquijor is a small island in Central Visayas, Philippines. During the old days (and even up until now), the province has been known for its stories of witchcraft and sorcery. Nowadays, aside from its mysticism and mysteries, Siquijor attracts tourists because of its amazing travel destinations.

How to get there
Our group went to Siquijor as a side trip to our Dumaguete tour.
From the airport, take a tricycle going to Dumaguete port. Usual fare is PHP150.00 for the tricycle rental.
There are several ferries going to Siquijor from the port. Travel time and fare will depend on what ferry you will choose. Usual ferries/ROROs will take you almost 1.5-2 hours. Fastcraft ferries will take around 45-50 minutes but it may cost you more. Fare costs from PHP130 to PHP250. There is also a terminal fee of PHP15. From Siquijor port, there are tricycles or minicabs that can take you to your inn/resorts.

Where to stay
There are several resorts around Siquijor. Our group chose Villa Marmarine because it is a beach front resort and we wanted to spend our first day just beach bumming.
Villa Marmarine is a Japanese inspired resort just 15-minutes tricycle ride from the port. We stayed at the Take Nipa Hut room which is a two-storey bungalow with an up and down balcony. Also, the resort has its own restaurant that offers meals from breakfast to dinner.
Aside from being just in front of the beautiful white sand beach, I like the serenity and calmness inside the resort. The peacefulness of the place is perfect if you are looking for some quiet and relaxation.

Siquijor Island Tour

We availed a Siquijor Island tour from Kuya Dennis for PHP1800 (minicab for 5pax). He took us to the different tourist spots around the island:

Here is a draft of our expenses. Note that food and other expenses are not covered here.

Notes:
> There are few convenience/sari-sari stores around Siquijor and it is hard to go around late at night. I recommend to buy all your needs (ex water, chips, snacks, etc) from Dumaguete before going to the island.
> Entrance and parking fees are not included in the tour fee given by Kuya Dennis so prepare some extra money for that. They are minimal costs anyway.
> If you want to save for the island tour, you can opt to tour via tricycle. It's cheaper.
> If you also want to save on the accommodation, there inns/resorts that are not facing the beach front are more affordable.
