Making more summer memories!

Dubbed as the "Maldives of the Philippines", the majestic Manjuyod Sand Bar lies in Negros Oriental Philippines.

How to get there
From Dumaguete, take a tricycle going to the Ceres Bus Terminal. Take a bus going to Bais and alight at Brgy Calindagan. From there, take a tricycle going to Canibol Wharf which is the jump off point going to the sand bar.
Alternatively, you can hire a van that can take you directly to the wharf (see contacts below for the van). Since we are a group, we decided to take this option. Roundtrip van rental costed us PHP2500.00 for 8 pax.
For the boat rental, contact the Manjuyod Tourism Office or Bais Tourism Office to schedule a boat for your group. Our boat costed PHP3000.00. This includes the sand bar tour only. You will need to pay an additional PHP500-1000.00 if want to add dolphin watching and mangrove area visit during your tour.

Unfortunately, we were not early enough to witness the sand bar in its full beauty. It was already high tide when we got there. So that's a tip for you, go there early! :)

Nevertheless, our group still enjoyed a little swimming around the cottages. The water is clear and the sand feels so fine.


After some picture taking and swimming, the boatman took us to another nearby sandbar. The sand is still visible on this area so this is where we took pictures with the Manjuyod cottages on the background.

High tide or low tide, I'd say Manjuyod is worth the visit!
