A walkathon around the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok and Prince Edward.
How to get there?
Of
course, there is always MTR for everywhere you wanna go in Hong Kong.
But this time, I tried a different mode of transportation which is the
ferry. From Central MTR station, Exit A, I just walked in the long
overpass to the Central Ferry Pier.
The
fare is just 2.50HKD to Tsim Sha Tsui. Just a cheap cost but you will
definitely enjoy the 15-minute ride because of the view.
Where to go?
Having
no definite itinerary for this day, I just go where my feet wanted to
take me. So here are some of the places/tourist destinations I've
explored the whole day. THE CLOCK TOWER
This
44-meter Clock Tower is a famous landmark in Hong Kong. It was part of
an old railway terminal station. Despite the terminus being gone, the
tower is still standing strong and it is now preserved as one of HK's
Declared Monument.
KOWLOON PARK
Kowloon
Park is just adjacent to TST Station, Exit A1. It is a big public park
offering a wide variety of flora and fauna. I really recommend you to
take some of your time to just walk around and appreciate the
tranquility of the place.
STREET MARKETS
One
thing why Hong Kong is popular for travelers is because of SHOPPING! If
you are looking for affordable shopping, don't forget to visit the
street markets of Hong Kong. Here are some of them:
Fa Yuen Street AKA Sneaker Street - Shoes! Shoes! Shoes! Everywhere!
Tung Choi Street AKA Ladies Market - Clothes and accessories on sale!
Temple Street - foodtrip and bazaar in one!
FLOWER MARKET
Located
at the Flower Market Road (obviously!) near Prince Edward Station. I
was surprised by the wide variety of fresh cut flowers and houseplants
being offered by the stalls along this street. Beautiful and colorful!
